Indian Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) are increasingly embracing digitalization to improve efficiency, enhance value and promote innovation. It is believed that at least 40% of all businesses will perish in the next decade, if they do not embrace digital transformation at the right moment. This outlines the importance of digitalization initiatives being undertaken in PSEs for making their operations more efficient and transparent and for better delivery of services for the public good. The Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) jointly with Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Hyderabad is conducting a study on “Digital Transformation in PSEs” to understand the initiatives taken by CPSEs for Digital Transformation, challenges faced by CPSEs by such initiatives and to suggest how to leverage digital transformation for the next phase of growth of CPSEs. The study involves in-person interviews with 25 CPSE’s across sectors like Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Engineering, Services, Finance, Chemical and Fertilizers.This study will come out with a report in consultation with various stakeholders.
