Rajan Kumar Gangadhari is an Assistant Professor at IMT Hyderabad in the area of IT & Analytics. His doctoral thesis was in the areas of using semi-supervised machine learning models for analysing unstructured safety data emerging from multiple industries to enhance decision making capabilities. He has completed his master’s from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad in the field of Industrial Engineering and Management and a bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the same University. Prof. Rajan Kumar has 4+ years of industry experience in the manufacturing, and amusement park industry, and 2 years of teaching experience in different business schools. His research area interests are in “combining machine learning techniques with operations research to help develop interactive dashboards, group decision making models in the area of sustainability, supply chain management”. His previous works were published in leading journals like Computers & Industrial Engineering, Journal of Safety Research, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management and Journal of Cleaner Production. He is an active member of various professional bodies like the Institution of Engineers, India, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, USA, the Institute of Industrial and System Engineers, USA, the International Association of Engineers, Hong Kong, National Safety Council, India.
