Hyderabad, 30th July 2021: Institute of Management Technology, Hyderabad, organized a valedictory session for the 2021 – 2023 batch to mark the end of the month-long Management Orientation Programme -"ABHYUDAY" on 30th July 2021. The session began with an opening address to the batch by Prof. (Dr.) Sourabh Bhattacharya, Chairperson – Admissions & Alumni Relations and Professor, Operations Management, wherein he acknowledged the efforts of all the faculty members and the industry personnel for adding tremendous value in the various MOP sessions by sharing their invaluable years of experience.
Prof. (Dr.) Venkata Chakrapani C, Professor & Area Chairperson, Finance & Accounting, addressed the batch by providing a quick recapitulation and summarized the various events and sessions that were held during the month-long management orientation program "ABHYUDAY." He elucidated the sessions organized on business statistics, databases and software, Microsoft PowerPoint presentation, and Microsoft Excel. He also exemplified the various distinguished speakers who shared significant actionable insights to help the students learn and grow into becoming socially responsible leaders in their corporate careers.
Prof. (Dr.) Sri Harsha Reddy, Dean (Academics) & Director Designate, also addressed the session wherein he mentioned the importance of having a month-long orientation program and the learnings that will act as a catalyst in the near future for the budding corporate professionals. He shared and exemplified the motto of organizing such a session, "Learning by Knowledge, Learning by Doing, Learning by Being." He talked about the forward trajectory by sharing that the institute will be planning to have more such speaker sessions to help students better understand the finer nuances of different sectors and adapt to the corporate world. He mentioned that equipping them with such learnings would become more relevant for the industry needs and eventually mature into socially responsible business leaders. He appreciated the resilience of the students for meticulously attending the Management Orientation Programme -"ABHYUDAY." Further, he conveyed best wishes to the students for starting their new academic journey, which would eventually transform and equip them towards becoming future business magnates.
Prof. Dhananjay Kumar Singh, Assistant Professor, Marketing, also shared his thoughts regarding the MOP sessions held over a month. He reiterated the importance of such sessions in keeping oneself pertinent to the recent industry trends and the importance of learning about
the various facets of the corporate world, hence, giving an upper hand to the students to better thrive in a competitive environment.
The session also witnessed various students sharing their insights of attending the MOP session. Sarthak Gadhok, a first-year student, acknowledged the eminent speaker's learnings, imparted to the students to better thrive in a corporate ecosystem. He also talked about the faculty lectures, which allowed them to have a birds' eye view of the entire course curriculum.
The session concluded with Prof. (Dr.) Sourabh Bhattacharya highlighting the importance of having attention to finer details as a crucial skill set for success. Prof. (Dr.) Sourabh further summarized how the learnings could be a differentiating factor for reaching the pinnacle of success and wished the students the very best for their new academic journey.
