Republic Day Celebrations
Hyderabad, 26th January 2020: Institute of Management Technology, Hyderabad, celebrated the 71st Republic Day with vehemence and exhilaration. To honor this day, the campus was decked up in tricolor balloons and ribbons. The national flag was unfurled by the Director, Dr. M. Venkatashvarlu, which coincided with the students singing the National Anthem. The Director then delivered a thought-provoking speech.
“The education system plays a vital role in achieving the objective of the nation as the learning begins here and it helps in upholding and uplifting the values of the constitution.” were the words of Dr. M. Venkatshvarlu.
The celebration of Republic Day was done with complete pride and enthusiasm as the day recalls the sacrifices of the leaders and martyrs who lost their lives for the benefit of the nation. During the grand event, a parade was held where the student's march-past and the amphitheater echoed with patriotic fervor.
The day was embarked by playing patriotic songs and the students dancing to the tunes of it. Antragna, the cultural club of IMT Hyderabad organized an event where they showcased their talents. A melodious performance was given by Team Dhwani, which was followed by an energetic and scintillating performance by Team Dhanak. The event ended with a magnificent drama staged by Team Navrang, where they portrayed the changes made in the constitution over the years.
The day was celebrated with elation and with great passion. It revives up the emotion of nationalism and re-kindles the spirit of pride and patriotism among the citizens. The students and faculties acknowledged the fact that we all stand as a united force in-spite of the differences and together they vowed to make India a better and peaceful nation.
