Panel Discussion on Industry Expectations From Management Graduate
Institute of Management Technology, Hyderabad hosted a dynamic panel discussion featuring four distinguished speakers as part of the ABHYUDAY management orientation program 2024-26. The topic, "Industry Expectations from Management Graduates," set the tone for an engaging conversation. The panel included Ms. Sharbari Pradhan, University Relations Recruiter at Micron Technology; Ms. Harshitha Sriramaneni, Head of Partner Operations and Shared Services at MassMutual India; Mr. Kunal Choudhury (He/Him), Associate Director HR at Alvarez & Marsal; and Mr. Kshitij Bhatnagar, Director at Grant Thornton Bharat LLP.
Ms. Sharbari emphasized the importance of exploring opportunities through workshops, competitions, and leadership series to shape oneself. She highlighted the need to understand team dynamics and work on individual capabilities while balancing Gen Z's demands within organizational constraints.
Ms. Harshitha stressed integrity, empathy, and the importance of soft skills alongside technical expertise, encouraging students to focus on learning over competing in a rat race.
Mr. Kunal advised Gen Z to develop patience, listening skills, and the ability to handle ambiguity, emphasizing mental well-being and personal growth during the PGDM journey.
Mr. Kshitij discussed AI's transformative role in creating new job opportunities while making some obsolete, stressing the need for effective AI utilization and mutual adaptability between Gen Z and organizations.
The panel discussion was moderated by Prof. (Dr.) Pavan Kumar Balivada's adept handling of the session ensured a smooth flow of insightful conversations. The session concluded with a vote of thanks from Ms. Bhavya Mahendra, who appreciated the insights shared and emphasized the lifelong importance of maintaining a positive attitude and continuous learning. Mr. Prakash Pathak, CRO Head, felicitated the speakers, marking the end of a successful and insightful event.
