Institute of Management Technology, Hyderabad (IMT-H) and Confederation of Indian Industry’s Institute of Logistics (CII-IL) have agreed to collaborate in bridging the talent gap of logistics and supply chain professionals in the country. As part of this agreement, they have exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the 10th edition of Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence Awards, an annual flagship event of CII-IL held on 1st December 2023 at Hotel Taj Bangalore. Under the aegis of this MoU, IMT-H and CII-IL will jointly design and deliver a two year post graduate diploma in management (PGDM) program with a focus on Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) at IMT-H campus. This program will be launched from the academic year 2024-25 onwards with an initial intake of 30 students per batch.
Speaking at the occasion, Prof (Dr) Kalyana C Chejarla (Program Chair, PGDM-LSCM) reiterated the commitment of IMT-H in delivering industry relevant subject matter and managerial talent since inception. He said, “some of the ongoing initiatives to keep up with this ethos are practitioner sessions, our unique internship design, annual reset of courses and their content under the guidance of eminent subject boards, and industry partnerships to design and launch specific post-graduate and executive programs.” Addressing the 300+ senior logistics and supply chain executives, solutions and service providers at the event, he sought industry support in driving quality admissions, summer and final placements, keeping the subject matter contemporary, relevant case studies, industry visits and expert talks.
