Leadership Series by Mr. Rajesh Dhuddu
IMT Hyderabad, 3rd Jan 2024: Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Hyderabad, organized- Leadership Series by Mr. Rajesh Dhuddu, SVP & Global Business Head-Emerging Technology, Tech Mahindra for a captivating discourse on leadership and personal branding.
Mr. Rajesh commenced the session by emphasizing the importance of personal branding. He stressed that students should strategically present themselves, taking into account their strengths and weaknesses. Mr. Rajesh encouraged students to prioritize "personal branding over personal grooming," citing Anand Mahindra, the Chairman of Tech Mahindra, and Michael Jordan, a renowned American businessman and basketball player, as inspiring examples. When providing advice on excelling in interviews, he highlighted the significance of establishing a distinctive factor, continuously reinventing oneself, and never underestimating one's capabilities.
When delving into the topic of fostering leadership qualities, he stated that thought leadership evolves as individuals immerse themselves in a subject. Moreover, he advised students to dedicate 15-20 minutes of their daily schedule to improve cognitive and writing skills, focusing on topics in which they have a personal interest.
He also shared his four T’s success mantra: Team, Travel, Training, and Transfer. In delving into the team aspect, he stressed the need to understand the importance of occupying the second position to achieve leadership within a team ultimately. According to him, being the number two signifies the beginning of the journey towards becoming the number one. To broaden perspectives, he encouraged students to travel and explore new places. When discussing the landscape of emerging technologies, he highlighted the crucial role of training, which involves the continuous cycle of learning, unlearning, and relearning. He urged students to step out of their comfort zones and explore various facets of management.
Following the session, Mr. Rajesh Dhuddu presented IP awards to recognize the exceptional achievements of the 2022-2024 batch in their summer internships. After a successful session, Mr. Prakash Pathak, Head of Corporate Relations at IMT Hyderabad, honored Mr. Rajesh Dhuddu with a memento.
