Hyderabad, 13 December 2020: The Institute of Management Technology (IMT) - Hyderabad hosted 'INQUISITIVE - The Ultimate Business Quiz' for undergraduates on 13 Dec.’20. The quiz provided a platform for undergraduate students from across the country to exercise their brain and witness an enriching experience. IMT Hyderabad conducted the three-round event in collaboration with Dare2Compete. The quiz was designed to test the management aptitude and critical thinking of applicants, catalyzing to serve their overall development.
The event took off with an official address by Dr. Sourabh Bhattacharya, Chairperson Academics, IMT Hyderabad. We then had Dr. Sriharsha Reddy, Dean (Academics), who said, "Inquisitive is a business quiz organized by IMT Hyderabad, and it provides a brilliant opportunity for all the undergraduates, graduates, and MBA aspirants to showcase their business acumen. This time the event was successfully conducted in the online mode, and I would like to congratulate all my students and everyone else who was a part of it for making this event successful. They took enormous efforts to achieve this and made us proud.”
The event also witnessed a formal address by Director, Dr. M. Venkateshwarlu, who said, "I would like to welcome all the participants, students, and alumni of IMT, Hyderabad, to the second edition of Inquisitive. We are elated to receive participation from various undergraduate colleges in huge numbers. Our objective of organizing such an event is to promote business awareness among the student community regarding certain business aspects. The top ten teams who have made it to the final round have already successfully proved their mettle."
The participants' were a dynamic mix from several leading colleges around the country like BITS Pilani, Shri Ram College of Commerce, IITs, Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, etc. The event witnessed rigorous competition, with the participant from Hindu College, D.U. emerging as the ultimate winner. He took home a whopping cash prize of ? 50,000. Following suit, the penultimate positions were taken by participants from BITS, Pilani, and BITS, Mesra, respectively, with cash prices of ? 30,000 and ? 20,000 each.
The event concluded with vote of thanks by Prof. Kalyan Cherjarla, wherein he expressed gratitude on behalf of everyone at IMT Hyderabad. The quiz came together as a corroborated effort of the students and the quiz master Mr. Avinash Mudaliar, who kept the vigor of all the participants and attendees alive despite the covid related unique circumstances. Through the combined efforts of all stakeholders, Inquisitive 2.0 fulfilled its purpose of imparting new learnings to the participants and inspiration for the students of IMT Hyderabad. The event showed the potential to be conducted on a larger scale in the future and stimulate more young minds.
