Hyderabad, November 16th and 17th, 2024: The organizing committee of IMPELZ 10.0 proudly unveiled the much-anticipated annual management fest of IMT Hyderabad. The flagship event, IMPELZ 10.0, was successfully held on the 16th and 17th of November 2024.
Under the inspiring tagline of "Aspire, Ascend, & Achieve." IMPELZ 10.0 seeks to foster an environment that encourages boundless creativity, offers essential resources for idea realization, and culminates in a celebration of achievement. It is platform where ambition converges with opportunity, challenges ignite innovation, and every idea is given the chance to flourish. IMPELZ empowers students to push the boundaries of their imagination and elevate them to new heights of excellence through engaging in dynamic competitions.

The inauguration ceremony, hosted by Samyukta Raghunathan and Akhil Tulsi Das from the 2024-2026 batch, began with the symbolic lighting of the lamp, graced by the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Sriharsha Reddy, Director of IMT Hyderabad, and Prof. (Dr.) Tulika Sharma, Chairperson of the Student Activity Cell at IMT Hyderabad.
Prof. (Dr.) Sriharsha Reddy officially declared IMPELZ 10.0 open, emphasizing its role as a critical platform for nurturing managerial talent and promoting healthy competition. He proudly commended all the committees, clubs, and the organizing team of IMPELZ for coming together and collaborating to make this two-day event a reality. With a warm welcome to all participating colleges, he wished the best to the participants and encouraged them with the slogan, "Let the competitive spirit prevail."
Prof. (Dr.) Tulika Sharma encouraged all participants to make the most of the two days filled with fun and entertainment, urging them to explore, participate, and fully engage in the event. The ceremony concluded with the hosts extending their sincere gratitude to Prof. (Dr.) Sriharsha Reddy and Prof. (Dr.) Tulika Sharma for their steadfast support.
DAY 1
JAGRITI
IMT Hyderabad’s CSR club, Pahel, successfully organized Jagriti, a Nukkad Natak competition, showcasing powerful performances on critical social issues. Held in the open area of the academic block, the event saw enthusiastic participation from teams representing CVR College of Engineering Hyderabad, IBS Hyderabad, and IMT Hyderabad.
The teams performed thought-provoking acts on themes such as women empowerment, drug abuse, Swachh Bharat, and tributes to blue-collar workers. IBS Hyderabad emerged as the winner, while IMT Hyderabad (Team B) and CVR College shared the runner-up position.
Judges Bharathi Kode, Program Manager at GMR Varalakshmi Foundation, and Dr. Rammohan Holagundi, Director of Nishumbita, praised the performers’ creativity and the organizing team’s efforts. Prof. (Dr.) Tulika Sharma presented mementos to the judges, while the winners and runner-ups were also felicitated with awards.
The event highlighted the power of street theatre in driving social awareness and change.
PITCH UP
Prarambh, the Entrepreneurship, and Innovation Cell of IMT Hyderabad hosted the much-anticipated “Pitch Up 10.0” during Impelz 10.0, bringing together aspiring entrepreneurs from top institutions nationwide. This flagship B-plan competition provided a dynamic platform for participants to present innovative ideas before a distinguished panel of judges and potential investors.
The esteemed panel of judges featured industry experts Mr. Ravi Daparthi, President and CTO of Oorwin, Mr. Vishal Reddy, Entrepreneur Coach at Qualcomm, and T-Hub, and Mr. Viiveck Verma, Founder of Upsurge Enterprise Solutions. Prof. (Dr.) Krishna Dixit, mentor of Prarambh, and Prof. (Dr.) Aindrila Chatterjee, mentor of the Innovation Cell, ensured the event’s success.
With 81 teams from prestigious institutes, the event’s final phase allowed the top 7 finalists to present their ideas. Team Kubera from NMIMS Mumbai emerged as the winner, while Team Circular Innovators from IMT Hyderabad was the runner-up. Both teams received mentorship from the judges and certificates of participation.
EPISTEME
Opuskriya, the operations club of IMT Hyderabad, successfully hosted its flagship event, Episteme- a Lean Six Sigma competition, conducted entirely online.
The competition challenged participants to showcase their operational acumen through real-world problem-solving. It consisted of two stages: a quiz on operations and supply chain management, followed by a case study analysis where 4 qualifying teams delivered insightful presentations, offering actionable strategies and practical insights.
The distinguished panel of judges from Institute of Management Technology, Hyderabad included Prof (Dr.) Vijayendra Kumar Gupta, Program Head, Professor CII-IL, Prof (Dr.) Sricharan Chirra, Assistant Professor, and Prof. (Dr.) Arun Kumar Biswal, Assistant Professor & Operations Area Chairperson- who scrutinized the depth of the proposed solutions via an intense Q&A session.
Towards the end of the event, Prof. Biswal commended both the organizing team and participants' exceptional work. The contest results would be emailed to teams, and the hosts expressed deep appreciation to contestants and judges.
MARKET MOSAIC
IMT Hyderabad’s creative club, Tassavur, successfully organized “Market Mosaic,” a dynamic event that blended innovation, marketing, and storytelling. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from IMT Hyderabad, IBS Hyderabad, IPE Hyderabad, and UBS Maharashtra.
In the first round, participants crafted products from waste materials, showcasing ingenuity. In the second round, qualified teams presented 30-second advertisements for assigned products and genres. The offline presentations were accompanied by screenings of their creative ads, leaving the audience captivated.
The event was judged by an esteemed panel comprising Prof. (Dr.) Shaon Sen, Assistant Professor of Marketing and Chairperson of Branding at IMT Hyderabad and Miss. Rashmitha,, a social media influencer and clinical dietitian.
Team Gladiators from UBS Maharashtra emerged victorious, with IMT Hyderabad’s team Musketeers securing the runner-up position. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Tassavur and insightful remarks from the judges.
COGENTIX
IMT Hyderabad’s analytics club, Insightx, successfully hosted its flagship event, Cogentix: The Data Contest, showcasing top talent from across the country. The competition included three rounds: an online quiz on Unstop, a case study submission, and a live presentation on campus. The final round featured three exceptional teams from IMT Hyderabad, VIT Pune, and Alliance University, who presented their innovative solutions to an esteemed panel of judges. The judges—Mrs. Shabhana M from Accenture AI, Mr. Kanuri Sundeep from Atlassian, and Mr. Ravindra Sunkari from LTIMindtree—praised the participants’ analytical acumen, creativity, and impactful presentation skills. IMT Hyderabad emerged victorious, with VIT Pune as runner-up. The event concluded with the presentation of awards and mementos by Insightx POCs, Mr. Mohak and Mr. Chirag, reinforcing the mission of "Empowering tomorrow’s leaders with data-driven insights today."
ALANKAR
Antragna, the cultural club of IMT Hyderabad, hosted Alankar, a musical event at IMPELZ 10.0, delivering an enchanting night for the audience. Music enthusiasts from various colleges participated, making the event a grand success.
The show welcomed esteemed judges Miss Anuradha Sudigali, a member of the Telangana musical committee known for her prestigious performances, and Prof. (Dr.) Tulika Sharma, assistant professor at IMT and mentor of Impelz. The night featured captivating renditions of Hindi, Telugu, and English songs.
The event concluded with Antragna's POC presenting mementos to the honorable guests, marking the occasion. Singer Hulsi from IBS won the trophy, with Team IPE as runner-up. Alankar etched a memorable chapter in the history of IMPELZ, offering a magical musical experience for all attendees.
MUDRA
Antragna, the cultural club of IMT, Hyderabad, successfully hosted the grand dance competition, Mudra, at Impelz 10.0. The event commenced with a warm welcome to the esteemed judges, Mr. Sumit Agarwal and Mrs. Geeta Agarwal, from 1 Hundred Dance Studio, Hyderabad. They possess expertise in various dance styles, including Popping, Hip Hop, Afrodance, and Bollywood, and have accumulated a teaching experience spanning eight years.
Mudra showcased exceptional performances, attracting participants from some of India’s premier business schools. The event concluded with a gift hamper and memento presentation to the judges by Antragna’s POCs, followed by the announcement of the winners. The performing team from IBS Hyderabad (D&P Crew) emerged victorious, while a solo performance by Pranay, from Woxsen University, was recognized as the first runner-up.
DAY 2
PRAKSHEPAN
The finance club of IMT Hyderabad, Finacea, hosted its flagship event, “Prakshepan” – “Analyze, Forecast, and Pitch”, as a precursor to Impelz 10.0. Designed to equip participants with the expertise to analyze, forecast, and represent financial insights, the event drew participation from over 150 teams comprising 330 members from top B-schools across India. The first round tested the foundational skills of all participants, and 11 teams advanced to the campus finals.
The second phase, “Vitt Gyaan,” featured intense competition where participants decoded industries based on clues and delved deeper into computing company valuations. Teams extracted financial data, prepared comprehensive analyses, and delivered insightful presentations to showcase their findings.
The final round was judged by an esteemed panel, including Mr. Anish Nikhil Jarugumilli (AVP, Kotak Mahindra Bank), Mr. Raghu Ramarao (Cluster Manager, HFFC), and Mr. Srinivas Karwa (Associate, EY). After a gripping showdown of forecasts and valuations, PPU from IFMR Chennai emerged as champions, with Financial Maniacs from ISBM Pune as runner-up.
The event concluded with the presentation of mementos to the judges and certificates to the participants, honouring their outstanding analytical and presentation skills.
L.E.A.D HR
Synergy, the HR Club of IMT Hyderabad, kicked off the L.E.A.D HR event as part of IMPELZ 10.0. The event began with the HR Hive quiz on Unstop, challenging participants to demonstrate their knowledge of HR concepts and their practical application within organizations. After a thorough evaluation, 8 teams emerged victorious, earning a spot in the next round-Visionary Quest, where they developed innovative solutions that addresses a specific challenge or goal within an organization. Mr. Narasimha Rao Gadiparthi, L&D and Organizational Development Specialist at HM Clause Seeds Biotechnology, assessed their presentations and provided insightful feedback. He shared valuable industry insights regarding HR roles in contemporary organizations. As a gesture of gratitude, the club's POCs presented Mr. Gadiparthi with a memento.
Following a meticulous evaluation process, four teams progressed to the final round, HR Chronicles. The teams analysed real-world HR case studies and developed strategic solutions that underwent rigorous assessment by Mr. Nomula Bhavanishankar, Senior IT Recruiter at Sterling 5, Inc. Team Armada from IMT-Hyderabad emerged as winners and Team Club Convergence from IBS Hyderabad secured the runner-up position. The event concluded with Mr. Bhavanishankar presenting awards and acknowledging the remarkable effort and enthusiasm demonstrated by all participants.
ADTRACT
Mercatus, the Marketing Club of IMT Hyderabad, hosted the most awaited event “AdTract” during the Annual fest - Impelz 10.0, providing a platform to the aspiring marketeers from around the country to present their insights on the given case study before the esteemed judges and prepare themselves for real-life challenges of the dynamic market.
The respectable panel of judges, Mr. Snehashish Gurung, Branding Manager, Orient Cement and Prof. (Dr.) Nitin Gupta, Chairperson- International Relations; Mentor - Mercatus, made the event even more significant with their invaluable suggestions.
After reviewing all the teams' presentations, judgements were made based on variables such as case understanding, use of relevant data and framework, and solution viability. Team that checked all boxes and emerged as winner was Team Strategists from IMT Hyderabad and Team Marketing Gamers from JAGSoM was the runner-up.
AdTract established a benchmark in organizing a memorable event at IMPELZ and an unforgettable experience for all the attendees.
CHAKRAVYUH
Athena, the Strategy Club of IMT Hyderabad, successfully hosted its flagship event, Chakravyuh. The competition began with Vyakhya, an online quiz round that determined the top six teams. These teams were then invited to the campus for round 2, Kootneeti. This round featured a high-stake strategic business game in which participants navigated market volatility, traded resources, and made investment decisions to maximize points. Prof. (Dr.) Akhila Veldandi, Assistant Professor at IMT Hyderabad, judged the event.
Participants were briefed about the rules before engaging in scenarios that tested their skills in resource management, negotiation, and alliances. Teams faced real-time challenges, making strategic decisions to balance risk and reward.
The event concluded with the calculation and display of each team's scores. Team Strategists from IMT Hyderabad emerged as the winner, with Team Amaryllis from IMT Hyderabad as the runner-up. Prof. (Dr.) Akhila Veldandi awarded certificates of appreciation to both teams and congratulated all participants for their enthusiasm and efforts.
LEAGUE OF NATIONS
Commwing, the communication club of IMT Hyderabad, proudly organized its flagship event League of Nations 10.0, bringing together brilliant minds from across institutions for a dynamic diplomatic and problem-solving competition.
The event commenced with an energetic welcome by the hosts, followed by the introduction of esteemed judges Mr. Serendeep Rudraraju, a veteran with over 60 MUN experiences and Mr. Kalyan S Raygalla, a TEDx speaker with global expertise in organizations like Google, BCG and KPMG. Commwing’s mentor, Prof. (Dr.) Tulika Sharma, graced the event by adding her insightful presence to its success.
The finale featured eight teams from premier institutes, including FORE School of Management (FSM) New Delhi, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) Kakinada and Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Hyderabad delivering impactful presentations. Participants showcased pragmatic strategies, engaged in intense negotiations and captivated the audience during rigorous Q&A sessions.
Judges concluded with insights into global decision-making challenges and the importance of thorough research. Team Diplomats from IIFT representing Philippines emerged as winners, followed by Team AA from FORE representing Qatar as runner-up. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks to all participants, mentors, and judges.
RANGMANCH
Antragna, the cultural club of IMT Hyderabad, successfully conducted Rangmanch at Impelz 10.0, showcasing the theatrical brilliance of students from various colleges. The event commenced with a warm welcome to the distinguished judges: Ms. Nidhi Taunk, a forensic analyst and performer with the Sutradhar Company, and Ms. Riya Baldwa, an interior designer with a passion for creativity.
The event was embellished by delightful hosts Priyanshu Jha and Bipasha Guha. The plays from IMT and IBS Hyderabad captivated the audience with an enthralling spectacle of engaging stories and left them in stitches.
The program concluded with Antragna's POC presenting a memento and goodies to the honourable judges, creating a memorable moment. Team Navrang of IMT Hyderabad lifted the trophy.
AMAYA
Antragna, the cultural society of IMT Hyderabad, hosted AMAYA, a stunning blend of fashion and music, during the much-anticipated IMPELZ 10.0. Held at the IMT Hyderabad campus, the event showcased exceptional creativity and talent, captivating the audience.
The highlight of AMAYA was a theme-based fashion show seamlessly integrated with live musical performances, creating an electrifying atmosphere. Teams from IBS Hyderabad, IMT Hyderabad, and IPE Hyderabad participated in the event. Esteemed judges Ms. Riya Baldwa, an interior designer, and Ms. Nidhi Tunak, an MBA in finance and forensic analyst, brought their expertise to evaluate the performances. IBS Hyderabad’s “Moving Mannequins” claimed the first prize, while IMT Hyderabad’s “Psychedelics” secured the runner-up spot. AMAYA celebrated talent, teamwork, and creativity, leaving a lasting impression.
SHOWDOWN
IMT Hyderabad concluded its dynamic two-day event, Impelz 10.0. The grand culmination took place with an electrifying DJ night featuring DJ Rihya, a talented performer who is renowned for the amazing tracks that she plays across the audience, transforming the atmosphere into a pulsating celebration. The event primarily centred around rock music, saw enthusiastic audience showcasing their finest dance moves.
Post the festivities, Prof. (Dr.) Tulika Sharma, Chairperson of the Student Activity Cell at IMT Hyderabad, formally declared the conclusion of Impelz 10.0. She extended warm wishes to all, anticipating their presence at the upcoming Impelz 11.0.
