IMT Hyderabad, 25th October 2024: Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Hyderabad, hosted a captivating interactive session on “Role that digital transformation plays in enhancing enterprise business operations”, led by Mr. Avinash Prabhakar, Operations Director at HCL, a seasoned industry expert with over 23 years of experience.
The session delved into the fundamental aspects of digital transformation, encouraging students to share their perspectives on the topic. The students offered insightful responses, highlighting concepts such as process simplification, automation, and technological integration.
Mr. Prabhakar emphasized that digital transformation is not merely a technological shift but a fundamental transformation of business operations. From traditional methods of record-keeping to modern logistics, businesses across all scales are undergoing digital revolutions that changed the way they carry out their day-to-day activities. The session explored key processes common to all businesses, regardless of industry or scale, including operations, finance, HR, IT, compliance, sales, marketing, research and development, strategy, customer service, and legal affairs. The speaker then highlighted the dramatic shift in the role of IT. Once considered a mere cost center, IT has now evolved into a strategic investment crucial for competitive advantage and market penetration.
Mr. Prabhakar underscored the current opportune moment for IT professionals in the field, as the industry is experiencing significant growth and demand as there is a pronounced importance of technology adoption in sustaining business success.
