IMT Hyderabad, 6th September 2024: Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Hyderabad was privileged to welcome Mr. Partha Sarathy Mohapatra, State HR Head for Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd., for an engaging and informative session on “Life cycle of an employee from onboarding to offboarding and the role of HR.” A distinguished HR leader with over 15 years of experience in talent acquisition and HR generalist roles, Mr. Mohapatra, has held key positions at MTS, Manpower Services (India), and BS Transcomm Ltd.
During the session, the speaker emphasized the three core components of an organization: people, process, and technology. He highlighted the crucial role of people within an organization, explaining how companies aim to enhance employee contributions and success through a well-managed and comprehensive employee life cycle.
In his discussion on the Employee Life Cycle (ELC), Mr. Mohapatra detailed the process that guides employees from the attraction phase to offboarding. He stressed the need for a smooth, seamless, and transparent recruitment process, followed by distinct stages of pre-onboarding, pre-boarding, and onboarding—each critical to employee integration. He elaborated on the subjective nature of employee engagement and the objective focus on productivity. Furthermore, he delved into employee development and talent retention, one of the most prolonged phases of the ELC model. Finally, he underscored the importance of effective offboarding for organizational success. Mr. Mohapatra also highlighted companies excelling in ELC practices. The session then proceeded to an interactive Q&A segment, where participants had the opportunity to engage with him further.
Towards the culmination of the session, a vote of thanks was extended by Mr. Prakash Pathak, Head-Corporate Relations Office – IMT Hyderabad, who also presented a memento to Mr. Mohapatra and his colleague, Mr. Roger Michael Anthony.
