Hyderabad, 27th February 2025 – The Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Hyderabad, successfully hosted its fifth session of Global Immersion Program 2025, featuring Mr. Tommaso Giardini, Associate Director, Digital Policy Alert, Switzerland. The session was titled "AI Regulation in the Age of Fragmentation".
Mr. Giardini began the conversation by outlining how various regulations and digital policies are now conceived and executed, as well as the role of AI in this process. Additionally, Mr. Giardini emphasized the importance of international cooperation to develop safer AI rules. He also discussed Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development(OECD) principles and the importance of bridging the gap between international standards and national legislation in order to maximize the impact of AI policies.
