LDP on Mastering People Management & Team Leadership for BFIL
IMT Hyderabad, 11th & 12th July 2024: Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Hyderabad, conducted a two-day Leadership Development Program for the executives of Bharat Financial Inclusion Ltd. on 11th & 12th July 2024. The program aimed to train executives in Mastering People Management & Team Leadership.
Prof. (Dr.) Sarath Babu, Associate Professor & Chairperson - Executive Education, IMT Hyderabad, delivered the welcome note and emphasized how IMT Hyderabad aims to carve out a unique niche in education by strategically curating the leadership development program to equip executives with essential skills. He also underscored the importance of leadership and handling uncertainties, especially in the corporate sector.
Prof. (Dr.) Romina Mathew and Prof. (Dr.) Pavan Kumar Balivada commenced the session by expressing their happiness for hosting the sixth batch of BFIL. The first day of the program provided a comprehensive learning experience to the participants through group activities and situational games. The executives gained practical insights into implementing the Johari Window concept in the workplace by being receptive to feedback from colleagues and superiors. The day concluded with a visit to the Statue of Equality.
The second day of the program began with an early morning wellness session, followed by an insightful discussion on internal and external conflicts, exploring various dynamics and their impact on team performance. To make the session more engaging, teams participated in a strategic negotiation game, where they allocated marks to each other, emphasizing the importance of negotiation strategies and mutual understanding. Attendees gave presentations on various topics related to attrition and recruitment, with active participation and discussions on different aspects of the subject.
Towards the end of the session, participants shared their valuable feedback on the program. Prof. (Dr.) V C Chakrapani, Dean Academics, IMT Hyderabad, awarded certificates to the participants. Prof. (Dr.) Sarath Babu concluded the event with a warm address, welcoming all participants into the IMT family. He also thanked Prof. (Dr.) Romina Mathew, Professor – HR, IMT Hyderabad, Prof. (Dr.) Pavan Kumar Balivada, Area Chairperson – HR & Admissions head, IMT Hyderabad, Miss. Susan Thomas, Manager – Executive Education and Media Relations Committee for successful conduction of the program.
