Back to the Roots - Alumni Meet 2024

IMT Hyderabad, 9th March 2024: Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Hyderabad, hosted its Alumni Meet 2024, organized by the Alumni Relations Committee (ARC) on 9th March 2024, at the Hyderabad campus. With the theme “Back to the Roots,” the reunion aimed to reminisce about past experiences and to celebrate the truly enduring legacy of the alma mater. The event was graced by the presence of alumni from different batches, Prof. (Dr.) K Sriharsha Reddy, Director, IMT Hyderabad, Prof. (Dr.) V C Chakrapani, Dean Academics, IMT Hyderabad, Mr. Prakash Pathak, Head of Corporate Relations, IMT Hyderabad, Prof. (Dr.) Sourabh Bhattacharya, Chairperson - Alumni Relations, IMT Hyderabad, and other professors.

The reunion commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by a welcome address from Prof. (Dr.) K Sriharsha Reddy, Director, IMT Hyderabad, who expressed gratitude to all the alumni for making it to the campus again. During his address, he emphasized that alumni are the significant stakeholders of the institute and updated the alumni about the progress the institute has made since their college days. The director also shared the institute's vision of offering a balanced curriculum, with 50% generic courses and 50% industry-based courses, and announced the launch of two new programs this year, PGDM - IT and PGDM - Logistics & Supply Chain Management. Prof. (Dr.) V C Chakrapani and Prof. (Dr.) Sourabh Bhattacharya also expressed their thoughts with the alumni and urged them to stay connected with the institute.

The event proceeded with the depiction of a video where efforts made by the ARC were highlighted. Subsequently, a lineup of enjoyable activities, including music performances and game simulations such as Beyond the Credits, Pictionary, Rapid-fire round, and Chinese whispers, followed. Both alumni and professors actively participated in these engaging activities.

The evening carried on with a delightful dinner, fostering interactions between professors and alumni as they relived and cherished their long-lasting memories. A bonfire marked the event's conclusion, during which attendees shared their memories of the institution and displayed their artistic abilities.
