Alumni Meet -IMT Hyderabad

Hyderabad, 11th January 2020: “No distance of place or lapse of time can diminish the nostalgia that culminates from the spirit of friendship.”

IMT Hyderabad opened its gates once again to its former students as it played host to the Alumni Meet by celebrating the reunion of the pioneer batches. The event witnessed immense participation from the initial batches of PGDM students as they came together to experience a magical evening full of sweet memories and everlasting bonds. Dr. M Venkateshwarlu, Director of IMT Hyderabad, addressed the gathering in the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Sriharsha Reddy, Dean (Academics) and other faculty members, by delving into the aspirations of the institute to become one of the best in the country in terms of the academic quality among others. He encouraged the alumni to join hands in contributing towards the same. Prof. (Dr.) Sourabh Bhattacharya, Chairperson, Alumni Relations - IMT Hyderabad, appreciated the efforts of the IMT Alumni Association and the Alumni Relations Committee (ARC) of IMT-H, and said that “This platform can be used as an opportunity to voice opinions about the institute and give feedback to us in terms of how we can build the brand of IMT-H much bigger.” The Director, Dean and Chairperson, Alumni Relations, also released the new logo of ARC during the event.

The Alumni Meet took place in the faculty lawn, where more than one hundred and fifty nostalgic alumni shared their journeys and experiences. The faculties and the alumni exchanged their emotional bond regarding every minuscule event related to IMT Hyderabad. Various batches from all the years joined the meet to increase their network length and relive their memories. Events like ‘Guesstimate’ and ‘Make your story’ were introduced to make the night more engaging and fun-filled. IMT Hyderabad has alumni working in companies like Deloitte, IBM, Tata Group, Zomato, Guardian Capital, KPMG, Teach Mahindra and other leading corporates of the world, who joined this event and made it even more enriching.

“It feels great to come back to college and meet some long-lost friends, at the same time knowing about the recent know-hows of the college through these Alumni meets.” were the words of Nupur Gupta one of the founders of Mercatus Mantra at IMT Hyderabad. (PGDM batch 2011-2013)

“I was the second one to enter the campus and the journey from that day until today has been phenomenal. It feels great to be back on campus and meet my friends, faculties and the current batchmates” expressed by Mr. Lakhan (Batch 2011-2013)

N.Manasa (Batch 2017-2019), currently working in Zomato, claimed that “A lot has changed in a year and IMT Hyderabad is getting better day by day. Meets like these give us an opportunity to take a break from our corporate world and re-experience and re-live our student life”

As the event neared its end, the alumni were provided with the opportunity to reminisce over the priceless memories that were made within the walls of the beautiful campus and relive those moments again. Being the latest addition to the IMT group of institutions, has not held back IMT Hyderabad’s efforts in building an active alumni network over a span of just eight years. IMT-H strongly believes that events like these are important and enhances the brand of IMT by building a solid relationship with former students that will be mutually beneficial and will also take the institute to greater heights.
