IMT Hyderabad aims to develop socially responsible business leaders and contribute to the growth of economy. The major drivers behind both the growth of the economy and individual satisfaction involve innovative and entrepreneurial activities. The institutional supports such as Start-up India programme, and other incentives also encourage the establishment of innovative entrepreneurial ventures in India. Specially, in the context of economic recession, and external uncertainty due to Covid-19, formation of a new company would be the best approach to siege the new opportunities emerging in the dynamic business environment. However, individuals struggle in their entrepreneurial journey from ideation phase to commercialization phase. Existence of a vibrant ecosystem can provide the necessary supports, and help the individuals to grow and contribute to the social welfare through innovation and entrepreneurship.
To achieve the above goals, Innovation Lab various activities in IMT Hyderabad. Innovation Lab provides an active platform to various stakeholders such as students, startups, incubators, accelerators, mentors, angel investors, venture capitalists, research institutions etc, and develop a collaborative environment to nurture innovation and entrepreneurship.
Objective
To develop an ecosystem to encourage and support research and practice of innovation and entrepreneurship among students and other stakeholders.
Activities
With the help of student driven entrepreneurship-cell Prarambh, the activities of Innovation Lab involve various initiatives to develop collaboration with various stakeholders as mentioned below.
- Chamber of Ice Breakers - a platform to showcase talent and interact with each other in IMTH on innovation and entrepreneurship
- MERAKI – Business plan competition in IMTH to develop the entrepreneurial mindset amongst IMTians by creating and sustaining Entrepreneurial value in them
- Pitch-Up - National level flagship event of business plan competition
- Walk the Talk = Speaker’s series
- Food Fiesta – Food festival arranged by entrepreneurial teams of students
- Smart India Hackathon
- Hult Prize Competition

- Already established a startup/ Planning to establish a startup within 6 months

- Please fill up the attached application form, and send the signed scanned copy to Chairperson, Innovation Lab (saikatb@imthyderabad.edu.in)
- The shortlisted applications will be called for a presentation of 15 minutes to Innovation Lab members, and other faculty members.

- Vision, and goals
- The business idea
- The growth plan
- Evidence of your strengths to be successful
- Support needed from IMT Hyderabad
- Selected startups will be informed to start their operation in IMT Hyderabad campus
- This is a rolling call for application, and all application will be reviewed on a monthly basis by end of each month. The shortlisted applications will be called for the presentation in the 1st week of the subsequent month.
