BUSINESS ORIENTATION PROGRAM: 8-19th November, 2011
Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Hyderabad organized
a 12 day long Business Orientation Program 2011 from 8th November to 19th November,
2011. Eleven renowned industry experts from various industries visited the IMT Hyderabad
Campus to address and interact with students on wide variety of subjects.
These experts include Mr. MadhuKannan, MD & CEO of Bombay Stock Exchange, Mr. RVS
Ramakrishna, MD of ITW Signode, Mr. V.B. Gadgil MD of L&T-Hyderabad metro, Mr. AbheekBarua,
Chief Economist HDFC Bank, Mr. Sashi Krishnan CIO Bajaj Allianz, Mr. ManoharBhat,
Commercial Business Head (South), Maruti Suzuki.
The program therefore has leaders from sectors like Insurance, Manufacturing, Infrastructure,
Banking, and Automobiles to upcoming sectors like business analytics, Private Equity,
Hedge Funds among others. The Program is designed with the objective:
- of helping the student understand and appreciate the ‘big picture’ of business in
the sectors;
- to enable the students to evaluate the diverse career opportunities that the sectors
would provide;
- to inspire and motivate them by listening to the life experiences of these accomplished
persons.
The program provided the students and faculty with opportunities to interact with
the who’s-who in the business world to have extensive discussions on contemporary
business issues, debate on issues of importance in different sectors and also raise
as well as seek answers to the issues concerned.
